Bayleaf Green Display Cabinet
I've had this gorgeous cabinet for many years now. I thrifted it from a lovely old lady, together with our white sideboard.
It has had a few makeovers it it's time, but has predominately remained white.
That is until I saw this gorgeous cabinet at Provincial Home Living at Christmas time, in a colour called Bayleaf.
And that was my inspiration for its latest restyle.
I couldn't find the exact paint colour I was after so I got a sample pot of a similar green and mixed my own bayleaf green inspired shade.
I gave it 2 coats of paint, and then sealed it all with a clear varnish. I used this varnish for the first time and I was really impressed with how smooth it turned out. And it was a lot cheaper then the hardware brands.
I decided to keep the inside of the cabinet white.
I also replaced the door knobs with black ones.
