2024 Christmas Home Tour

Happy December! I can't believe it has been almost a year since my last post. Working full time now means less time for decorating and it has been a very busy year.

But I am excited to be sharing my annual Christmas Home Tour.

This year's theme I decided to go with lots of traditional greenery and my favourite whites, woods and neutrals. I also added lots of trees and villages to the mix. And a few stars also crept in to the entryway in place of my usual mirror.

 ENTRYWAY

I found these faux cedar garlands on Temu. I had never ordered from them before but I was pleasantly surprised by the price and quality of these garlands, so I placed a second order for more.

I love the way this door wreath turned out using one of the garlands and some ribbon from Provincial Home Living (PHL).

The large beaded star was a purchase last year at the Christmas after sales from PHL. It matches perfectly with my star light up wreath.

This year I fell in love with ceramic houses. The white middle one is from Kmart. The side ones are also from Kmart but I painted them to look more expensive.

The small snowy tree on the right was a new purchase from Pillow Talk (PT). And the small basket and ceramic bowl were recent finds from the op shop.

Near the door I placed a large table top tree I purchased last year from Adairs. I decorated it with a simple green velvet ribbon from PHL.

LIVING ROOM

I decided to have only one tree this year. I went with my prelit slim tree from Target, keeping it super simple using clear ornaments tied with green velvet ribbon.  My tree holder is an old wine press which I'll got into in another post. But I'm super happy to be incorporating it into my Christmas decor this year.

Other new purchases include the green cushions from Target. I love the shades of forest green and the check design. I've also added some of my new cedar garlands above the windows. Love the warmth they bring to the room and how the frame the windows.

I found a press out pack of a white Christmas village at Spotlight. Not only does it look perfect in my glass display cabinet, surrounded by green bottle brush trees, it was fun to make.

The green ceramic houses are also a Spotlight purchase this year, and the small wooden trees are from Kmart.

I've also incorporated some of the vintage door knobs as tree bases. And how cute are those cardboard reindeer.

The gold framed mantel mirror was a new purchase this year from Early Settler. And the stockings are from years past with new embellishments of mini pine cones, green ribbon and wooden stars. I also added more of my new cedar garlands to the mantel.

I created a little village scene in my favourite cloche and tied it with striped Christmas ribbon from PHL. The white tree LED candle came as a set of 3 from Kmart.

And on the other side of the mantel I added another cloche tied with ribbon from PHL and containing one of my DIY wool wrapped trees. The little wooden trees on the left came as a set of 3 from Kmart and the cute little tree holder on the right is from the op shop.

LIVING ROOM

Lots more green in the dining room.

I added more cedar garland to our chandelier. I love the way it hangs.

I also added some gold baubles I purchased last year from Bed Bath n Table (BBNT), and the beaded birds were an after Christmas sales purchase last year.

I cant wait to prepare my official Christmas table setting but in the meantime here is a sneak peak of some of the items I will be incorporating.

The paper table runner is from PHL. I had never thought of using a paper runner, but this one looks amazing. You could also use wrapping paper!

The glass cake stand belonged to. my grandmother, and the vintage pudding bowl contains matching baubles from the chandelier.

The little old jars hold sprigs from PHL, as are the napkins, and the bowls are from Kmart.

I can't wait to use these cute little wooden house place card holders!

I keep with my traditional winter reindeer wall canvas.

But added some vintage inspired metal wall vases filled with Christmas sprigs.

On our sliding French doors I added two large wreaths from BBNT.

And in the corner I added an Ikea tabletop tree, tied with Christmas ribbon, in a wooden planter.

On the opposite side of the dining room is my gorgeous vintage buffet, DIY architect drawer cabinet and vintage record cabinet.

I moved both my vintage printer drawers to this wall as well.

I love decorating this dresser and this Christmas is no exception.

I used leftover table runner for the bottom shelf and the two white candle trees are the rest of the set from Kmart. An old candle jar wrapped in vintage sheet music paper makes the perfect tree holder.

The glass pear ornaments are new from PHL.

The beaded star garland is from BBNT, and the vase was thrifted.

One of my favourite items is my black vintage typewriter.

The cute little houses on the top of the print drawer are also new this year and more vintage pudding bowls are great tree holders.

Another place I love to decorate are the shelves above our sofa. I followed through with more little villages and lots of trees.

I love this little jar I also thrifted.

Another little nook is the area next to our TV. The green blanket is a new purchase from Target. It is so soft!

The LED glass trees are also new from Kmart.

I hope you enjoyed my home tour.

MERRY CHRISTMAS
