Old Sheet Music Candle Jars & An Easter Vignette
Hello Friends,
The Floods
My prayers are going out to everyone on the East Coast of Australia experiencing the severe floods at the moment. My heart broke for everyone in Lismore today. The loss of homes, livestock, livelihoods and lives is devastating.
I live further
down the coast in Sydney and we are expecting the severe wet weather to
move down our way tomorrow, however we are not likely to flood to such
extent.
A Quick and Easy DIY
Today I'm sharing a little DIY anyone could make! As well as a cute little Easter vignette.
Old Sheet Music Eye Candy
I recently shared some very old sheet music pages that were gifted to me by my mother-in-law.
And because they are so awesome, I've kept all the music pages and they are now on display in a wire basket on my buffet. 😍
Remember The Castle?
It's like that movie "The Castle" (which coincidentally we made the kids watch for family movie night last weekend).
You know the saying "that's going straight to the pool room"?
Well, lots of stuff go straight to my recently shared buffet and hutch! 😆
This same saying also applies to "the entryway", my new "DIY kitchen farmhouse shelf", my "DIY kitchen shelves from bookshelves", my "glass display cabinet" and "the fireplace mantel". 😜
Some DIY or thrifted item is always going straight somewhere!
Back To Today's Post
I still had another pile of old sheet music that I had used for some previous DIY projects.
After
sorting through it, I found some cute pages with interesting old song
titles and wording that I thought would look amazing on display, and how
better than wrapped around my Glasshouse candle jars!
I simply cut and glued them around the jars to secure them in place, making sure the wording was displayed on the front.
It's A Mini Me!
I even did a little mini jar with the publishers details!
And This One Went Straight To The Entryway!
And another one for the entryway mirror!
Another Thrifty Find!
I'm also excited to have the opportunity to share this cute little candle snuffer I found at a small antique shop recently!
Light It Up!
I love the way the music scores glow through the pages too when the candles are lit.
