7 Days of DIY Christmas Tree Decorations - Day 7 - 4 Ornaments from Christmas' Past

Happy Sunday Friends!

I hope you have been having a great weekend!

Today is the final day of my 7 Days of DIY Christmas Tree Decorations!

Today I am sharing some decorations that I made a few years ago that I am using on my Christmas tree this year.

First up is my Old Music Sheet Chain Garland.

I made this garland back in 2012 from original old music sheet paper.

It really is as easy as cutting your pages into strips and linking them all together to form a chain.

Next up is my Pinecone Petaled Flower Ornaments.

I made these ornaments back in 2013. I simply grabbed a pinecone and cut off the individual scales with scissors as close to the base as I could.

Next I grabbed a circle of felt and hot glued my scales in a circle around the outside of the felt, and another layer on the inside.  I also glued on a loop of twine to the back for hanging.

I used some more twine coiled in the middle of the flower to create a centre. You could also use beads or wool, etc to embellish your centre.

Lastly, I dry brushed white paint on the scales. You could also leave them bare or add glitter, etc.

Next is my Air Dry Clay Ornaments.

Again, not a hard one to do. Simply buy some air dry clay from your craft store. Roll it out and use cookie cutters to cut out your shapes.  Then leave overnight to dry.

If you have lace you can also press this into the clay to add texture like I've done with my angel wings.

Or you could cut out some small holes like I did with the stars on the Christmas Trees.

Lastly, I'm sharing my Burlap and Cardboard Stars.

I made some of these many years ago but they must have been thrown out at some stage so I decided to make some more.

I simply found a star template and printed it out. Then traced out my template onto a manilla folder. And cut those stars out.

Then I printed a star template that was smaller than the original. I had a roll of burlap fabric and I used this to cut out the smaller stars. I used spray on fabric glue to stick the burlap stars to my manilla cardboard stars. The spray glue stopped the threads from the burlap coming apart.

I punched a hole in the top of each ornament and added organza ribbon for hanging on my tree.

Super easy and didn't cost me anything.

So, here's the big wrap up in case you missed any of my other 6 days of DIY Christmas Tree Decorations.
