Farmhouse Style Dining Room Tour - Shop Your Home Restyle
Happy Friday Friends!
I hope you have had a wonderful week. Mine has been relatively quiet. The kids are in the second week of school holidays. And it looks like schools will be reopening mid October. I'm totally going to miss having the kids home, but I also understand they miss their friends and are looking forward to returning to the classroom. And I'm sure I'll find some projects to take my mind off missing them too much. 😁
Today I'm excited to be sharing a tour of our restyled dining room!
You might remember I bought our old table back into this space and moved it from the wall to the middle of the room. I love having it here. I'm still debating whether to paint the top white.
I've
kept the table simple, with a drop cloth table runner, my DIY table
riser and a simple faux potted succulent. And above the table is my gold
and Chrystal chandelier that I recently made over.
And
on my feature wall is my favourite cow picture, my DIY Farmhouse sign
and metal wall vases. The flowers are new from Spotlight.
On the opposite wall is my vintage white buffet, all restyled and looking beautiful.
The
small cupboard houses/hides all our chargers. I made this years ago and
it still functions so well for all the kids devices. But it never looks
this tidy!
For
my display, I "shopped" my home. I love that when you move stuff around
it gives different areas a totally new look. The wooden shelf/riser is
actually my DIY wooden box table centrepiece turned upside down!
The vintage scales used to be on the entryway table.
This little DIY cloche use to be in my glass display cabinet.
These
little terracotta pots got a plaster makeover recently. And I wanted to
incorporate my vintage doilies around the room too.
Do
you remember my recently acquired vintage cutlery? I had to display it
somewhere and in glass jars on my buffet was the perfect place.
My little bird clothe also used to be in my glass cabinet.
The lamps used to be in the living room.
And
my typewriter has been put away since last Christmas. It's so nice to
display it again on my new music cabinet. And the vintage glass bottles
are also newish and were hiding in my display cabinet. I love having
them in different areas of my home now. I'd love to buy some more.
My Easter bird cage was hiding in the garage. It's also a great Spring addition.
I've moved a lot of things around into different rooms and I can't wait to share my Spring living room and entryway shortly.
Take care and stay safe!
