Shutter Shelf and An Old Ladder

I've had this white wooden shelf for a while (having bought it at the hardware store for less than $10) and just could not decide where to put it. I have been debating putting it under one of my new wall shutters for a while, but was worried it might overhang the dining table too much.  Nup, it fits fine. :)  Now I can dress it up depending on the season/occasion. :)  

 

 

 

Did anyone notice I've also white washed the teal shutters? :)  The deep teal was just a bit too much.

 

 

 

I also added an old ladder in the corner that I got at a yard sale for $5.  It is covered in paint splatters and originally I was going to try sanding it back, but I actually don't mind it having a bit of character. :)
