Dresser Makeover
Our car broke down last week, and is going to cost a fortune to fix and
will take a further 2 weeks to get the part to fix it. I'm trying to
look on the bright side. Not going out means saving money. Which is
good. Right? And being at home means I can get all those unfinished
projects finished. Another plus. So I'm actually seeing this as a
positive thing as it will make me even more thrifty and nifty. :)
In fact, I hung my first picture this afternoon using a metal pull ring
from a can. Woohoo! Who would have though. It worked a charm, and
cost me nothing. :) I had planned to go to the hardware store, which
would no doubt have meant I'd come home with a lot more than picture
hangers, so we saved all round. :)
Secondly, I started work on a project I have been putting off for about a
year. It's my daughter's dresser. Here is a pic of what it used to
look like ...
It's a horrible yellow sort of cream colour and stands out like a sore
thumb. Everything else in her room is white, including the matching
side table next to it, which I painted a while ago.
Today I put on the undercoat, and applied 2 coats of paint. But you
will just have to wait to see the finished dresser and the colour I
chose. I'll give you a clue, it's not white. :)
To be continued ...
